BART C1 and C2 Car Reference Pictures

Exterior - Roof
The roof of the C1 and C2 cars was different from the A/B cars. The roof consisted of 2 center extrusions and 2 side extrusions welded together.

Exterior - C1 Truck

C1 cars used a fabricated steel truck. This design was unique to the C1 cars.

Exterior - C2 Truck
C2 Cars used a truck design based off the Rockwell A/B car truck, HPD-3.


Interior

Interior - Y end (C Car Cab)

Interior - Center (C1 Cars)
C1 Cars had teak wood seat/windscreen panels with grey fiberglass seat backing. This was based off the original A and B cars design.

Interior - Center (C2 Cars)
C2 cars had the Melamine/Sandy seat panels, which were later included on the A2 and B2 cars as part of the midlife rehabilitation.

Interior - X end (C1 Cars)

Interior - X end (C2 Cars)
The default C2 car intercar closure door had vents. These were rarely swapped out and installed on C1 cars.
