SFO AirTrain

Picture
San Francisco International Airport's AirTrain is the automated people mover, "designed to carry passengers efficiently throughout the Airport’s terminals, garages, BART, and Rental Car Center."

Service operates on two lines: Red line (loop between terminal), and Blue Line (Long Term Parking - terminals). The entire system is outside the sterile area, and thus open to the public.

Service began on February 24, 2003. The only infill station, named "Grand Hyatt at SF" opened on October 7, 2019. The first expansion, to the new Lot DD Long-Term Parking Structure, opened on May 5, 2021.
